St George’s Cancer Care Centre, a division of St George’s Hospital in Christchurch, is one of New Zealand’s leading providers of cancer care. To better serve patients in the Nelson, Tasman and Marlborough regions, they needed a new space that could deliver the same exceptional standard of care and support that their patients receive in Christchurch.

Corva is delighted to have been involved with this project. From an empty shell, we delivered a fully fitted-out, high quality care facility that will give patients and staff a space that feels warm, welcoming, and professional. St George’s required a functional yet thoughtful space in Nelson that could accommodate consultation rooms, reception, staff working areas and a chemotherapy treatment area, along with a kitchen and bathroom facilities. Importantly, the environment needed to feel calming, comfortable and supportive for their patients undergoing cancer treatments while also complying with industry standard requirements.

As the first point of contact for the entire interior fitout, Corva managed the project from planning through to completion and handover. We coordinated all trades, timelines, and communication to provide a seamless, hassle-free client experience. This turnkey approach meant less stress for the client while keeping the project on track and on budget. The space features curved bulkheads and joinery, acoustic wall and ceiling panels, and wooden paneling to create a calm and relaxing environment for their staff and patients. Every element works together to make patients feel supported from the moment they arrive.
