“Backdoor is a chain of 25 surf stores around NZ and we found ourselves in a race against time to get a new store open in the Richmond mall in late 2025. A combination of things but really we just weren’t that keen on another store in what has been a tough time for retail. Anyway a deal was put together with the mall landlord’s that meant we were given only 4 weeks from signing the lease to getting our store open. This has previously proved near impossible but the landlord’s tenancy co-ordinator was very helpful and their contractors Corva, assured us that everything could be achieved on time. I was initially extremely sceptical but Howard and his team were nothing short of amazing to work with. We had our own internal fit-out crew that was doing our own internal work but Corva was responsible for the frontage, painting, electrical and much of the base build. As time was counting down I stayed in touch and regularly visited and in the end they achieved all of our deadlines and we opened half a day early. They were a dream to work with and compared to working with mall contractors in Auckland, it was like night and day. We would love the chance to work with them again. An excellent team. Cheers Corva!”
