Corva delivered the interior fitout for this school learning centre in Nelson, helping transform the space into a modern open-plan learning environment aligned with contemporary teaching methods.

The Brief

The project involved upgrading and extending an existing school learning centre to better support flexible and collaborative education. The school wanted to move away from traditional classroom layouts and create a more open learning environment that reflected both their teaching style and school identity.

Acoustic control was also an important consideration within the new layout, ensuring the larger shared spaces remained comfortable and functional for students and teachers.

Our Approach

Corva project managed the complete interior fitout, coordinating the different stages of the works while delivering key interior systems throughout the project. This included installation of acoustic linings, baffles, ceiling tiles, and plasterboard wall systems.

The interior finishes and layout were implemented to support open-plan learning while incorporating colours and design elements aligned with the school environment. Acoustic treatments were integrated throughout the space to improve sound control within shared teaching areas.

The extension and upgraded interiors were completed with a focus on functionality, durability, and long-term usability for everyday school use.

The Result

The completed learning centre provides a flexible and modern education environment that supports collaboration, independent learning, and day-to-day student use. The open layout, combined with acoustic treatments and updated finishes, creates a space that is practical, comfortable, and visually connected to the school’s identity.
