The Brief
The Plant & Food Research facility was developed to support scientific research, collaboration, and laboratory operations within a modern working environment. The project required practical office and lab spaces that balanced functionality, acoustic control, and durability.Interior systems also needed to integrate with specialist laboratory requirements while maintaining a consistent architectural finish throughout the facility.
Our Approach
Working alongside the wider project team, Corva delivered a significant portion of the interior fitout works throughout the building. This included installation of suspended ceilings, acoustic baffles and screens, steel stud framing, and plasterboard linings. The team also installed glazed aluminium partition systems and office and laboratory doors, helping define workspaces while maintaining visibility and openness within the interior layout.
In addition to the fitout works, Corva provided seismic design solutions for the interior systems to ensure compliance with structural requirements and long-term performance.
The Result
The completed facility provides Plant & Food Research with a modern and highly functional environment suited to both office and laboratory use. Acoustic systems and partition layouts help support focused work and collaboration, while the seismic design contributes to the long-term performance of the building. As part of an award-winning commercial architecture project, the interior systems contribute to a practical and well-finished research environment.
