Corva contributed to the Cawthron Institute project in Nelson, delivering suspended ceiling systems, wall linings, and custom interior furniture throughout the research facility.

The Brief

The Cawthron Institute project involved developing a modern research environment that supported scientific work, collaboration, and day-to-day operational use. Interior spaces required practical and durable finishes suited to office and research activities while maintaining a professional architectural finish.

The project also incorporated custom furniture and interior elements designed to support functionality within the facility.

Our Approach

Working alongside the main contractor, Corva completed several key interior systems throughout the project. This included installation of suspended ceilings and plasterboard wall linings across the building.

Custom furniture elements were also installed as part of the fitout, contributing to the usability and finished appearance of the interior spaces. Coordination with the wider project team ensured the installations aligned with the architectural requirements and programme delivery.

The combination of ceiling systems, wall linings, and bespoke interior elements helped create a practical and well-finished research environment.
