Corva contributed to the Cashmere High School project in Christchurch, delivering decorative and acoustic interior features across key learning and performance spaces.

The Brief

The project involved creating interior environments that supported both functionality and student experience within a modern educational setting. Acoustic performance was an important consideration, particularly within shared and performance-focused areas where noise control and sound quality were essential.

The architectural design also incorporated feature elements intended to enhance the visual character of the school while contributing to the practical performance of the spaces.

Our Approach

Working alongside the main contractor, Corva installed a range of decorative and acoustic timber panel systems throughout the project. These included wall and ceiling treatments designed to improve acoustic control while adding warmth and texture to the interior environment.

The project also included custom angled acoustic reflector framing within the auditorium space, requiring careful installation to align with the architectural and acoustic intent of the design.

Feature coloured aluminium work was integrated throughout selected areas, contributing to the identity and visual finish of the project.

The Result

The completed spaces combine acoustic performance with strong visual detail, supporting both learning and shared school activities. The timber paneling and feature elements contribute to a warm and modern environment while helping manage sound within larger spaces.
